OLD ROSWELL MILL
85 Milll Street, Roswell, Ga 30075
Here is an example of the maps you will find in the Vickery Creek wooded trail area. This picture was taken at map post VC 27. You have to look closely, but you can see that the box around "VC 27" has a black outline when you compare it to the other "VC" boxes. The one with the black outline is the "you are here" indication. The map legend does not tell you this!
Questions Specific To This Trail:
1. Are there restrooms? Yes, nice ones.
2. Any fees? No.
3. What if I am not sure how far I can walk? That's ok! The first 1/2 mile past the old mill ruins and the waterfall (one mile round trip) has the most beautiful scenery and is an easy walk. There are also benches along the way. You will enjoy the refreshing feeling of the outdoors even if you can't walk a long way. However, if you need assistance walking, you should make your own plans to supply the support you need. Additionally, you should be independent enough to make your way back to your car alone in case there is no one else who wants to cut the walk short.
4. What if I want a longer and more challenging hike than the rest of the group? No problem! Feel free to do your own thing. The wooded trails across the main bridge can be explored in a number of ways. If you understand how to read the trail maps, you should be fine.
